Lead or Senior Responsible Engineer - PAC-3 Seeker IPTCompany:The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing PAC-3 program is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead or Senior Responsible Engineer (RE) for the Seeker Integrated Product Team (IPT) in Huntsville, Alabama. As the RE for the Seeker IPT, you will lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers to ensure the successful design and manufacturing of the PAC-3 to meet the performance, reliability, and safety requirements of the Seeker subsystem and circuit card assemblies within the PAC-3 RF Seeker. The RE will be the technical authority over the development, design, production, and test of the assigned PAC-3 Seeker.The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Patriot Advanced Capability (PAC-3) program produces seekers everyday as well as developing a new design of the seeker. This program is an air-defense missile system designed to counter tactical ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and advanced aircraft where Boeing is the original engineering manufacturer of the seeker. Boeing’s seekers provide active data to the PAC-3 missile which enables it to acquire, intercept and destroy threats using hit-to-kill technology. The PAC-3 Seeker team is a cross functional, highly skilled, motivated group embracing the beliefs that focused safety, execution, LEAN manufacturing and business practices will secure our future and well-being, driving our product to be the seeker of choice for the PAC-3 program and future generations of weapon systems.Position Responsibilities:Establishes a culture of proactive technical oversight, risk management and rapid issue resolution, providing alternative paths for issue resolution and an open dialogue on technical issuesLead requirement, function, and interface development for the PAC-3 SeekerOversee the design of products provided in support of development, production, and sustainment changesPresent data for the product at Design Reviews, product Acceptance and Qualification Reviews, and Delivery Reviews as requiredGuide technical path for product definition and executionDrive IPT to a position of System Integration for PAC-3 – drive coordination between IPT and Program technical staffAccountable to IPT Lead, IAMD CE and respective Program CEsTechnical authority over the development, design, production, and test of the assigned PAC-3 SeekerThis position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statementProven experience (5+ years) leading a multi-disciplinary engineering team in development or production environmentsExperience with executing engineering in support of program milestone reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, etc)Engineering experience on development and production programsExperience supporting or managing engineering release processesExperience mentoring early career engineersFundamental knowledge of radar systems, seeker CONOPs, or seeker architecturesPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex systems and troubleshoot technical issuesFamiliarity with technical proposal developmentFamiliarity with test equipment design and validationTypical Education/Experience:Lead: 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualificationsSenior: 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualificationsConflict of Interest:Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.Relocation:This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
