Claims Representative (IAP) - Workers Compensation Training Program | Las Vegas, NV

Claims Representative (IAP) – Workers Compensation Training Program (Las Vegas, NV) Primary Purpose of the Role: To be oriented and trained as a new industry professional through a comprehensive 4‑week learning program followed by on‑the‑job training. You will receive a mentor and manager to support your career progression in claims adjusting. Next Class Date: July20th – Location: LasVegas, NV – Format: Onsite. Essential Responsibilities Attend and complete designated claims professional training program. Adjust various levels of workers’ compensation claims under close supervision. Process and respond to incoming mail, emails, and other claim‑related documents according to claim status. Communicate effectively with injured workers, insureds/employers, medical providers, attorneys, and carrier representatives primarily via telephone, video conference, and email. Investigate new and existing claims, gathering relevant information including medical records, employer reports, and witness statements. Investigate employer‑employee relationships, policy verification, coverage, and potential subrogation issues or fraud indicators. Determine coverage, compensability, and appropriate benefits in accordance with jurisdictional guidelines and carrier program requirements. Document claim files and properly code claim activity. Prepare detailed reports of findings and recommendations. Administer claim benefits (indemnity and medical benefits) through maintenance of calendared claim‑related action items and ensuring state compliance. Participate in virtual and/or in‑person meetings, claim reviews, and business functions as needed for training and claim discussions. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. At least 2 years of customer service experience or a combination of education and experience. Strong communication, empathy, multitasking, accountability, structured thinking, ambition, agility, and teamwork skills. Work Environment Reasonable accommodations considered as applicable. Requires ability for clear conceptual thinking, excellent judgment, problem solving, analysis, handling work‑related stress, managing multiple priorities, and meeting deadlines. Physical requirement: computer keyboarding. Auditory/visual: hearing, vision, and speaking. Compensation and Benefits Starting pay for this role: $25.65 per hour.
