Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency RoomThis position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Emergency Room care. The candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, working predominantly night shifts.Shift InformationSchedule: 3x12 Hour Shifts (Night)Shift Timing: 19:00 to 07:30Weekend Coverage: Every Other or Every Third weekendKey ResponsibilitiesDeliver direct patient care in a General Emergency Department setting, which includes both adult and pediatric patients.Manage a varied caseload that may involve critical situations such as trauma, cardiac emergencies, and pediatrics.Perform essential nursing tasks such as IV therapy, blood product administration, and arterial line management.Participate in triage and respond to emergencies with rapid and effective care.Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapy and social services, to support patient needs.Utilize Meditech for charting and documentation of patient care.QualificationsMinimum of 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience.Current certifications are required: ACLS, BLS, CPI, PALS, and SANE.Preferred certifications: NIHSS, TNCC, and ENPC.Experience with preferred skills such as IV therapy and phlebotomy.Patient CareThe emergency department handles a daily census of approximately 50 patients. The RN will be responsible for managing patient ratios of 1:4 during day and night shifts.Special RequirementsMandatory floating between two emergency department locations as needed.Willingness to work during designated holidays.Orientation and TrainingOrientation hours: 12Coverage for a variety of age groups, including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics.Interdisciplinary SupportSupport from various teams including respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, and rapid response teams.Additional InformationWork environment includes specialized equipment like Rapid Transfuser and pacing equipment.No parking costs incurred.We invite qualified candidates who are committed to delivering exceptional emergency care to apply for this rewarding opportunity.
