This role serves as the primary execution arm of the companys Fleet Maintenance Department, ensuring that enterprise maintenance standards, KPIs, and financial controls are consistently deployed and sustained at the shop level./ppThis position does not set enterprise maintenance strategy but is fully accountable for executing itdriving consistency, developing maintenance leaders, stabilizing underperforming locations, and ensuring fleet availability, safety compliance, and cost discipline across a complex, high-utilization refuse and heavy-duty fleet./ph2Essential Job Functions/h2ulliMulti-Site Fleet Leadership/liliProvide direct oversight and leadership to Maintenance Managers and Supervisors across multiple locations/liliEnsure consistent execution of IWS maintenance standards, policies, and procedures/liliServe as the escalation point for complex operational, technical, and personnel issues/liliCoach, mentor, and develop maintenance leadership talent to support succession planning/liliMaintenance Execution Reliability/liliEnsure disciplined execution of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs/liliDrive high asset availability and uptime across refuse trucks, tractors, trailers, roll-off, and support equipment/liliLead structured root cause analysis (RCA) for repeat failures, downtime assets, and cost outliers/liliEnforce standardized repair practices, PM intervals, and inspection protocols/liliKPI Ownership Performance Management/liliOwn area-level maintenance KPIs, including but not limited to: PM Efficiency, Labor Efficiency, Fleet Availability Downtime, RM Spend vs Budget, Backlog Aging Work Order Management, DVIR Closure Regulatory Compliance/liliConduct weekly and monthly performance reviews with Maintenance Managers/liliDevelop and execute corrective action plans for underperforming locations/liliEnsure readiness and accuracy for Monthly Operating Reviews (MORs) and executive reporting/liliFinancial Stewardship/liliManage and control area-level maintenance spend within approved budgets/liliForecast labor, parts, and outside service costs with accuracy and discipline/liliIdentify cost-reduction opportunities without compromising safety or reliability/liliPartner with Directors on capital recommendations based on asset condition and performance data/liliCMMS Process Discipline/liliEnforce strict CMMS compliance across all assigned locations/liliEnsure accuracy and completeness of: Work order notes, Labor hours, Parts usage Equipment Status/liliAudit work order quality and backlog health regularly/liliDrive standard workflows and data discipline to support enterprise analytics/liliSafety Compliance/liliChampion a safety-first culture across all maintenance locations/liliEnsure compliance with OSHA, DOT, environmental regulations, and company policies/liliLead safety audits, inspections, and corrective actions/liliEnsure adherence to LOTO, HECP, hot-work, and shop safety standards/liliMaintain audit-ready documentation and regulatory records/liliVendor Contractor Oversight/liliOversee execution of vendor, contractor, and OEM relationships at the area level/liliEnsure vendor performance aligns with cost, quality, and turnaround expectations/liliSupport contract compliance and service-level adherence/liliPartner with Procurement and Directors on supplier performance feedback/li/ulpSchedule: 6am to 5pm Monday through Friday alternating Saturday./ph2Requirements and Qualifications/h2ulliMinimum 7+ years of progressive fleet maintenance experience, including multi-site oversight/liliBachelors degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)/liliPrior experience managing large, heavy-duty vehicle fleets (refuse, vocational, or similar)/liliProven 5 years of leadership experience managing Maintenance Managers and/or Supervisors/liliThe Senior Maintenance Manager is expected to:/liulliOperate with high ownership and accountability/liliLead with consistency, discipline, and professionalism/liliDevelop leadersnot just fix problems/liliServe as a stabilizing force during growth, acquisitions, and operational change/liliAct as a trusted execution partner to Directors and Corporate Fleet Maintenance leadership/li/ulliStrong working knowledge of: Preventive maintenance programs, Reliability and downtime reduction, OSHA safety standards (LOTO, HECP, shop safety), CMMS-driven maintenance operations/liliDemonstrated ability to manage budgets, analyze performance data, and drive execution/liliAdvanced root cause problem-solving and analytical skills/liliStrong communication, coaching, and leadership presence/liliExperience in refuse, waste, recycling, or heavy vocational
