Job Summary:
Pathology Assistant in San Francisco, California. Job Details:

• Schedule: Evening shift, 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week starting from 07/27/2026.
• Required Qualifications: Certification as a Pathologists' Assistant (PA) from ASCP, with at least 2 years of experience in pathology specimen grossing within an acute hospital setting; must hold a valid California State License and meet all certification and education requirements.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with high-volume complex specimen grossing and post-mortem examinations.
• Additional Information: Responsibilities include gross dissection of pathology specimens, intra-procedural consultations, performing post-mortem examinations, specimen management, troubleshooting, and participating in quality control and validation processes. The role requires adherence to department policies, equipment maintenance, and collaboration with medical staff. Orientation includes 16 hours of training, with modules completed through e-learning.
• Submittal Requirements: Candidates must upload valid certifications and California licensure documentation, provide two references obtained within the last year, and complete all onboarding requirements within 3-5 days of contract signing. Work history verification covering the past 7 years is mandatory.
