LakeCross Veterinary Hospital in Huntersville, NC invites a Part‑Time Veterinarian to provide comprehensive care with predictable hours and a consistent home hospital assignment. Position Overview This role supports a small, family‑like team and offers balance between clinical duties and personal commitments. Candidates are expected to be experienced in soft‑tissue surgery and eager to bring their expertise. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient exams and develop medical work‑ups. Communicate and educate clients. Perform diagnostic procedures and surgery. Maintain accurate medical records. Prescribe medications and follow controlled‑substance protocols. Promote teamwork and staff efficiency. Collaborate with the Hospital Manager on weekly priorities. Evaluate and monitor clinical protocols. Attend daily rounds when feasible to uphold high standards. Participate in practice management reviews and training. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications (Required) Veterinarian degree (DVM or VMD) from an accredited institution. Current State Veterinary License. DEA registration. Minimum 1 year experience in veterinary practice. Strong diagnostic, clinical, surgical, and dental skills. Team‑oriented work style. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Commitment to compassionate, high‑quality care. Ability to communicate effectively with staff and clients. Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks such as stooping and kneeling. Preferred Skills Comprehensive clinical knowledge across specialties.
