Elementary Kids Pastor

Position Title: Elementary Kids Pastor Campus: Gilbert Reports to: Gilbert Campus Pastor Status: Full-Time Position Summary The Kids Pastor will lead kids in their next steps on their journey with Jesus. They will work to reach and engage families in the community and will recruit, develop, and equip volunteer leaders. This role creates an exciting and engaging kid ministry environment on the campus and supports campus-wide efforts as needed. The position also manages the Central Kids Baptism process for all campuses. The individual must fit within our collaborative culture and build teams that represent the campus and the community in gender, ethnicity, and age. The role moves forward the mission and values of Central Christian Church, which include Jesus First, People Always, and Made for More. The pastor will immerse themselves in our staff leadership culture of Jesus First, Same Team, Make It Better, Feedback Matters, Give It Away, and Healthy Hustle. Responsibilities Community engagement Participate as a Kids Team Member Develop relationships with families (parents & kids) Manage communication between Kids Team and Campus Pastor Weekend ministry leadership and implementation Implement provided weekend curriculum Resource preparation Room preparation Room staffing Set‑up and tear down Leadership and implementation of various ministry events Pre‑Teen Camp (4th‑6th grade) Kids Camp (3 yr old to 3rd grade) Volunteer Training nights Outreach Activities Other ministry functions Curriculum development with Central Kids Programming Pastor Writing lesson plans Filming curriculum videos Developing small group activities Develop, maintain and grow partnerships with families, school administrators and organizations Support the Campus Pastor in campus leadership and community outreach efforts Develop, implement and maintain Central Kids Social Media platforms and strategy Work with the Central Kids Programming Pastor on marketing and promotion of events and weekend content Develop, implement and maintain Central Kids texting system Training Central Kids Pastors to respond and communicate to parents through the system Setting up keywords for parents to respond to Cleaning & Facilities Maintain cleanliness and safety of all Kids Ministry spaces to ensure a welcoming environment Perform routine cleaning tasks (trash, dusting, sanitizing toys, windows, countertops) Vacuum, sweep, and mop weekly and after services, events, or meetings Monitor and restock cleaning supplies as needed Leadership Development Lead, recruit and develop volunteer leaders, adults and students, including special needs ministry Support vision and direction of Central Christian Church and Family Ministries Participate in all staff events, bi‑weekly team meetings, campus team meetings, and church‑wide events Support Kids Ministry Core Values Safety and Security Biblical Teaching Fun, Community, Families Competencies Manages complexity Decision quality Plans and aligns Drives results Collaborates Develops talent Builds effective teams Demonstrates self‑awareness Knowledge, Skills and Experience A personal walk with Jesus Excellent written and communication skills Organizational skills Ability to work independently within scope of assignment Manages time and prioritizes duties effectively Cooperative team member Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs Role Model in Personal Life Align with the vision and values of Central Christian Church and commit to doing Central no harm Financially support the vision by giving at least 10% of gross income Grow personal relationship with Christ and evangelize within and outside the Church Model biblical integrity in all things and adhere to employee handbook qualities Act as an active Owner at Central Christian Church, upholding the six staff values Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, sit; use hands to finger‑handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing up to twenty‑five pounds.
