Our distribution covers an extensive retail network including brick & mortar retailers such as Target, Michaels, World Market, and Barnes & Noble, as well as ecommerce channels such as Amazon and a network of hundreds of independent small retailers. OVERVIEW We are seeking a highly organized Operations Coordinator to join our Independent Retail team. This role is ideal for an early-career professional who enjoys solving problems, staying organized, and helping customers. You will serve as the operational backbone of our independent retail channel, supporting hundreds of customers and over 40 independent sales representatives across North America. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing orders, coordinating shipments, supporting customers and sales representatives, and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks. This position offers exposure to sales, operations, customer management, inventory planning, and the day-to-day workings of a growing consumer products business. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Enter and process customer orders accurately and efficiently Coordinate order fulfillment with the warehouse and operations teams to ensure timely shipment Serve as the primary point of contact for independent retailers regarding orders, inventory availability, shipping updates, and account inquiries Support a network of 40+ independent sales representatives by providing inventory updates, order status information, product availability, and customer support Communicate inventory shortages, backorders, and shipping delays to customers and sales representatives Process credits, returns, replacements, and customer account updates Assist with payment collection and follow-up on outstanding invoices in partnership with the finance team Maintain accurate customer records and account information within internal systems Monitor shared inboxes and ensure customer requests are responded to promptly and professionally Assist the Independent Retail Sales Manager with sales support activities including reporting, lead research, customer outreach, trade show preparation, and special projects Prepare reports and spreadsheets to support sales planning and business analysis Identify opportunities to improve customer experience and internal processes Provide general administrative support to help grow and strengthen the independent retail channel SKILLS Exceptional attention to detail Strong written and verbal communication skills Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously Strong customer service mindset and professional communication style Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel Strong problem‑solving skills and willingness to learn Ability to work independently while also collaborating closely with a team EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree preferred 1-3 years of professional experience Experience in customer service, account coordination, sales support, operations, administration, or related fields is a plus Experience with ERP, CRM, or order management systems is beneficial but not required This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional looking to develop skills across customer operations, sales support, account management, and business operations within a growing consumer products company. #J-18808-Ljbffr
