Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (RN) position is available at a healthcare organization serving a suburban and rural area. This role involves providing patient care in a Level IV Trauma ICU, with a focus on adult and geriatric populations. The facility emphasizes patient engagement and clinical excellence, offering an engaging environment for qualified nursing professionals.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid Pennsylvania RN license; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), and NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certifications; minimum of 2 years ICU experience; candidates must have completed all required screening and clearances prior to start.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience caring for adult and geriatric patients, familiarity with ventilators, intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP), arterial lines, and CPAP equipment.
• Additional Information: Unit comprises approximately 10 beds with patient ratios of 1:6 depending on patient status. Typical diagnoses include diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI), cerebrovascular accident (CVA), and respiratory failure. The nurse may be required to float to Medical Surgical (MedSurg) units if ICU coverage is limited. Orientation occurs weekly on Mondays.
