Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking experienced OR Registered Nurse for night shift coverage in a high-volume, Level I trauma center. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general, orthopedic, spine, trauma, and neuro surgical procedures, including craniotomies.

Responsibilities:

• Administer preoperative and postoperative patient care in the operating room.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure smooth and efficient procedures.
• Maintain sterile technique and adhere to infection control protocols.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to changes during surgeries.
• Document patient care and surgical activities accurately in Cerner EMR.
• Provide support and expertise during emergency trauma and complex surgeries.

Qualifications:

• Active, unrestricted Arizona RN license or valid, participating compact license.
• Minimum of 2 years of hospital operating room experience.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• Proven experience in general, ortho, spine, trauma, and neuro surgeries, specifically craniotomies.
• Demonstrated trauma center experience, preferably Level I or high-volume Level II.
• Ability to float across units as needed, with a flexible and adaptable approach.
