Get hands-on in the kitchen preparing fresh, scratch-made food for a busy school dining program. Chop, slice, portion, prep, and help keep the kitchen ready for service. Follow recipes and SAGE standards to help create great food every day. Keep your prep area clean, organized, and stocked. Work closely with cooks and the rest of the kitchen team to keep service running smoothly. Be part of a team that takes pride in serving food people actually look forward to eating. Food service or prep experience is a plus, but we're willing to train the right person.

Schedule: We are open 7 days a week from 6:00 AM- 8:00 PM and try to create a schedule that works for everyone. Specific schedule details will be discussed during the interview process.

Transportation: Free on-campus parking is available. This location is not accessible by public transportation; successful candidates must have reliable transportation.

$17.00 - $20.00 Hourly

Ensure that all food is appropriately displayed and visually appealing. Interact cheerfully with SAGE guests and Team Members and provide service with a smile. Prepare assigned menu items in strict accordance with SAGE recipes. Clean, restock, and replenish serving lines and stations to ensure our guests enjoy amazing dining experiences. Clean all work areas and customer service areas on an ongoing basis. Use proper food handling, storage, and sanitation techniques always (HACCP). Assist in training new culinary Team Members. Endure exposure to extreme temperatures; intense heat and freezing cold. Adapt to additional duties as assigned by management.

Experience as a Prep Cook or Cook preferred, but not required. Ability to understand and execute recipes and instructions in detail. Ability to properly set up a buffet or serving station. Experience in customer service strongly preferred, but not required. Food safety certifications as required by jurisdiction.
