Job Title: Obstetrics Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Obstetrics RN Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Flexible to days/evenings/nights & weekends Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of OB nursing experience in antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, nursery, and Labor and Delivery. License: Must have a valid, current, full, and unrestricted Professional Nursing License to practice nursing in any state of the United States of America, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States. Certifications: - Basic Life Support (BLS) - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - AWHONN Intermediate EFM Certification (required within six [6] months of hire) - AWHONN Advanced EFM Certification (required within six [6] months of hire) - NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification (required within six [6] months of hire) - STABLE Certification (within one [1] year of hire) - Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics (ALSO) Certification (within one [1] year of hire) Must-Have: Applicants must meet all experience requirements for consideration. Description: Fingerprinting must be submitted and cleared prior to start. Housing is very limited. Shared contractor housing only. No pets or family allowed per policy. This health center provides services to a vast area and serves as a referral center for the local community. The facility offers comprehensive inpatient and outpatient emergency services along with various specialized services. Approximately 49% of the surgeries performed are outpatient and ambulatory surgical procedures. The community is culturally rich and diverse, serving various populations. The staff includes a variety of medical and dental professionals across multiple specialties. Nursing staff includes registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, nursing assistants, and nurse practitioners among others. The Obstetric Clinical Nurse performs a variety of nursing care procedures requiring professional knowledge and consideration of specific patient conditions and treatments. Nurses will assist during examinations and procedures. They provide comprehensive, family-centered nursing care to mothers and babies during antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods. Guidelines include physician orders, standards of care, and nursing policies and procedures. Nursing duties include support to individuals of all ages and their families.
