The Community Guidance Center (CGC) is a fast-paced office always looking to help local college students gain a better understanding of their intended degree. We accept interns throughout the year depending on who is available to supervise the student. All of the intern opportunities we have available will help college students gain industry and organizational knowledge through daily business interactions and job assignments. Some of the positions available will even have the student working with consumers and documenting in our electronic medical record, depending on the internship chosen. While we understand that life as a college student can be hectic, we will work around your schedule for the hours required for the internship.

We may have internships available in our Alpha , Adult Partial, Psych Rehab, Intake, Family Based, Developmental Disabilities, Early Intervention, Case Management, Outpatient departments. Please feel free to visit our website at to learn more about our departments.

Position Requirements


Major related to the desired internship - Most internships require the major to be in the human service field but not all

Adaptability and ability to work independently and in a team setting

Professional communication skills

Effective planning and organization skills

Community Guidance Center is a private, non-profit mental and behavioral health center with offices in Indiana, DuBois, Punxsutawney, Clearfield, Northern Cambria, Greensburg and Clarion, Pennsylvania.
