HR Assistant

An HR Assistant provides administrative and operational support across HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee records, benefits administration, and employee relations. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Administrative Support: HR Assistants handle clerical and administrative tasks such as maintaining accurate employee records, scheduling appointments, recording HR meetings, and managing HR documentationThey ensure that HR processes run smoothly and efficiently. Recruitment and Onboarding: They assist with posting job ads, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, performing reference checks, issuing employment contracts, and coordinating new employee onboarding, including orientation and completion of necessary paperwork Employee Relations: HR Assistants serve as a point of contact for employees, addressing inquiries about benefits, payroll, PTO, and company policies. They help resolve minor employee issues and provide guidance on HR procedures Benefits and Payroll Support: They assist with benefits enrollment, manage employee benefits records, and support payroll processes by ensuring accurate time and attendance records Training and Events Coordination: HR Assistants may coordinate training sessions, seminars, and special events such as employee recognition programs, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations Compliance and Reporting: They help ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies, produce HR reports, and support HR managers in policy implementation and data analysis. Skills and Qualifications: Bilingual a plus Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with employees at all levelsproficiency in HR software, HRIS/HRMS systems, and Microsoft Office Basic knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices Attention to detail and accuracy, particularly in handling sensitive employee information Educational background: typically, a BS degree in Human Resources or a related field Work Environment: HR Assistants usually work in office settings, with some opportunities for remote work.
