Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• Travel experience is required.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

• Trauma Level 2 experience is required.

Requirements:

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

Additional Details:

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience: Must be able to administer ultrasound enhancement agents UEA Definity and Optison. Must be able to complete the expectation of 7 scans per day. Must meet expectations for pace and volume.

Preferred Skills/Experience: 2-3 years of experience preferred. IV certification preferred. Teaching hospital experience is preferred.

Required Credentials: Graduate of an ultrasonography program required.

Preferred Credentials: Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited ultrasonography training program preferred. Bachelor’s degree in Ultrasonography, Radiology, Biological Sciences, or a relevant health sciences field preferred.

Unit Details: Pediatric through geriatric patient population. Agitated saline bubble studies. Pediatric transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography. TAVR, VAD R/L, ECMO, strain 3D/4D, and Mitral Clip follow-up echocardiograms. Cares for patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, pericardial disease/pericardiocentesis, and heart, lung, liver, and renal transplant needs. Lab imaging follows ASE transthoracic echo protocol. Mix of inpatient and outpatient settings across AFCH, UH, UH Cath Lab, and UH Emergency Department.

Shift & Scheduling: Monday-Friday with staggered shift start times starting at 0700 and then on the 1/2 hour until 0900. Rotation on weekends to support coverage. On-call rotation may be requested dependent on operational need.

Floating Requirements: Float between main UWH Highland Avenue and could rotate to Arbor Gate and East Madison Clinic.

14 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months

Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (ARDMS)) or the alternative certification RCS
