Job Title: RN Step Down Profession: RN Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:45 AM - 07:15 PM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification Successful completion of a proctored rhythm test Must-Have: - BLS - ACLS - NIH Certification Description: Looking for highly motivated nurses to work on a cardiac surgery unit. This unit cares for patients who are post cardiac surgery. The unit capacity is 24 beds. The population served includes pre and post cardiac surgery patients, acute coronary syndrome, heart failure, cardiomyopathy, unstable arrhythmias, and other related cardiac disorders. Patients range from young adults to late adults (ages 18 - 60+). The nurse to patient ratio is 5:1. The core staffing plan includes registered nurses (RNs), licensed practical nurses (LPNs), patient care technicians (PCTs), and nurse interns (NIs). An RN assumes full responsibility for the patients on each team.
