Job Summary:
Surgical Technician / Operating Room Technician in Hilo, Hawaii. This position involves supporting surgical procedures within a busy facility, assisting with turnover cleaning, patient transportation, and independently scrubbing cases including general, orthopedic, vascular, ophthalmic, urology, ENT, endoscopy, robotic, obstetrics, and gynecology surgeries. Candidates are required to bring their Hawaii license on the first day of the assignment.

Job Details:

• Location: Hilo, Hawaii
• Specialty: Operating Room Technician (ORT)
• Schedule: Rotating shifts, typically from 0645 to 2315, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Shifts may vary based on department needs. Applicants will be scheduled for 40 hours weekly, with potential for 32 hours on holidays.
• Required Qualifications: Candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of scrubbing cases in a hospital setting, possess a Hawaii license, and be able to arrive on the specified start date.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting a variety of procedures such as general, orthopedic, vascular, ophthalmic, urology, ENT, endoscopy, robotic, obstetrics, and gynecology surgeries.
• Additional Information: Traveler must complete a minimum of 39 shifts during the contract duration if requested time off is included. They must arrive the Thursday before the start date to attend an employee health appointment on Friday. The position requires participation in a 24/7 call schedule, averaging 1-2 times per week plus up to 2 weekends per month, with a 20-minute call back time.
