Mold Maintenance Mechanic 1st Shift

Volt is immediately hiring Mold Maintenance Mechanic - 1st Shift in Rockwall, TX.

As a Mold Maintenance Mechanic - 1st Shift you Will:

• Inspect, clean, and perform routine maintenance on injection molds per scheduled intervals.
• Troubleshoot and repair mold components, including cavities, cores, slides, lifters, and ejector systems.
• Disassemble and reassemble molds with precision to ensure alignment and proper function.
• Maintain accurate documentation of mold maintenance, repairs, and component replacements.
• Work collaboratively with process technicians, mold setters, and engineers to resolve tooling issues affecting quality or production.
• Identify recurring mold issues and recommend long term corrective actions.
• Use grinders, polishing tools, hand tools, micrometers, and similar equipment for repair and finishing tasks.
• Maintain mold storage areas in a clean and organized condition, following proper handling procedures.
• Assist with mold trials and support qualification processes for new or repaired molds.
• Follow all safety procedures and promptly report unsafe conditions or equipment concerns.

This is a Full time, Direct Hire opportunity.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; technical certification in mold/tooling repair or machining preferred.
• 5+ years of mold maintenance or mold repair experience in an injection molding environment.
• Strong understanding of mold construction (cooling systems, hot runners, ejector systems, venting).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and toolroom schematics.
• Familiarity with machining and polishing tools such as mills, lathes, and surface grinders.
• Ability to lift heavy components and work in a manufacturing shop environment.

Pay Range: $22.00 - $35.00 Per hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday mandatory overtime on Saturdays, as needednot every Saturday

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
