Job Description Fabricator / Welder - Stainless Steel About the Role
A well-established manufacturer of food processing and sanitary stainless steel equipment is seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join its production team. This position focuses on fitting and welding pre-fabricated components to assemble high-quality stainless steel equipment used in regulated food-grade environments.
The ideal candidate has strong blueprint reading skills, produces clean, consistent welds, and takes pride in precision craftsmanship. Reliability, safety awareness, and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
A well-established manufacturer of food processing and sanitary stainless steel equipment is seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join its production team. This position focuses on fitting and welding pre-fabricated components to assemble high-quality stainless steel equipment used in regulated food-grade environments.
The ideal candidate has strong blueprint reading skills, produces clean, consistent welds, and takes pride in precision craftsmanship. Reliability, safety awareness, and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Fit and weld stainless steel sheet metal, tube, and pipe components to assemble food-grade equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings to ensure accurate assembly
- Cut and prep tubular components as required for proper fitment
- Perform high-quality TIG and/or MIG welding on stainless steel
- Inspect welds to ensure they meet quality and sanitary standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production schedules
- Proven experience in stainless steel fabrication and welding
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Proficiency with TIG and/or MIG welding on stainless steel
- Skilled in measuring, cutting, fitting, and assembling tubular components
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Background in food processing, sanitary, or hygienic equipment manufacturing
- Experience in industries such as nut processing, dairy, brewery, or sanitary piping systems
- Knowledge of sanitary welding techniques and standards
- Experience with precision stainless steel fabrication in regulated industries
