Some days are busier than others. We assist both male and female patients with Urologic conditions from Urinary Incontinence to Prostate Cancer. Our office strives for excellence in delivering patient care. This is achieved by having a great staff of hardworking individuals. This office is located right next to the eastern trail in Biddeford, which is good for walking on lunch breaks. MA duties will include rooming patients, assisting with urological procedures, medication refills, abstracting, prior authorizations and administrative tasks as needed.If you are interested in Urology, assisting with procedures and want to be a part of a great team, we'd love to have you apply!The Medical Assistant (MA) role is assigned duties and responsibilities related to patient care and administrative support in a team-based environment while promoting a smooth flow of patients through the office. The Medical Assistant MA role functions under the license of the physician/advanced practice practitioner when performing clinical and other patient care responsibilities.Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)Education: High School diploma or GED preferred. Must meet one of the following requirements: Graduated from an accredited vocational institution or community college in Medical Assisting with 160 hours of clinical experience completed; or completion of an Adult Education Medical Assistant program and 6 months of clinical experience in a practice setting; or 1 year of clinical experience in a multi-provider practice setting (equivalent experience will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis).License/Certifications: Current AAMA, NHA, AMT, or NCCT certification required. (Prior to 5/01/25 MA IIs with 10 years MA experience and employed by MaineHealth as a MA in the most recent 5 years are exempt from certification requirement). Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
