Bring your expertise in school psychology to support elementary students on an impactful contract assignment for the 2026-27 academic year. This unique hybrid position offers the chance to collaborate both on-site and virtually, serving pre-K through 5th grade learners, including those requiring behavioral support.
Key Qualifications:
- Current and valid certification/licensure as a School Psychologist
- Experience working with elementary-aged students (pre-K through 5th grade preferred)
- Strong understanding of behavioral support and intervention strategies
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to partner with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of assessments, IEP development, and data-driven evaluation practices
- Comfortable balancing in-person responsibilities and remote work tasks as part of a hybrid schedule
- Ability to provide references at the interview stage
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations for elementary students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with staff and families
- Support interventions and programming for students presenting behavioral and academic needs
- Participate actively in problem-solving teams and attend scheduled meetings, including an initial psychologist meeting in late July if available
- Deliver counseling, crisis prevention, and regular progress monitoring for students as assigned
- Maintain timely documentation and reporting in compliance with district protocols and state guidelines
