Welder

Welder (1st and 2nd Shift)

This position offers the opportunity to perform a mix of TIG and MIG welding on mild steel, aluminum, and stainless steel in a fast-paced, job-shop environment. You will work from blueprints to produce a variety of metal products and display components, using updated equipment in a large, clean facility. This role is ideal for welders who want hands-on experience with diverse projects and the chance to grow into other areas such as fabrication and painting.

Responsibilities

• Perform TIG (approximately 60%) and MIG (approximately 40%) welding on mild steel, aluminum, and stainless steel components.
• Read and interpret blueprints to understand project specifications, dimensions, and weld requirements.
• Measure and mark materials using tape measures and other tools to ensure accurate cuts, fits, and weld placements.
• Work on a variety of projects in a job-shop environment where parts and assignments can change based on customer needs.
• Fabricate and assemble sheet metal parts and structures according to drawings and instructions.
• Inspect welds and finished products for quality, accuracy, and conformance to specifications, making adjustments as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety procedures and best practices at all times.
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to meet production schedules and quality standards in a fast-paced setting.
• Care for tools and equipment, reporting any issues or maintenance needs promptly.

Essential Skills

• 1+ year of experience in TIG or MIG welding in a production or fast-paced environment.
• Hands-on experience with MIG welding processes.
• Hands-on experience with TIG welding processes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints for welding and fabrication work.
• Experience working with mild steel, aluminum, and stainless steel materials.
• Experience working in a fast-paced welding or fabrication role.
• Proficiency using a tape measure and basic fabrication tools.
• Experience with sheet metal work and related fabrication tasks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Technical degree or formal training in fabrication or welding.
• Experience with both MIG and TIG welding processes on multiple metals.
• Experience in a job-shop or custom metal products environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality welds.
• Ability to adapt to changing projects and priorities.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Saint Michael, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $32.00/hr.
