Job Summary:
Emergency Room Nurse in Arlington Heights, Illinois. This position involves providing high-quality nursing care in a busy emergency department with a patient census of approximately 180 per day. The role requires adaptability to a fast-paced environment, managing patients with conditions such as strokes and other critical cases, across a facility with 44 rooms and multiple patient pods.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week, beginning 07/26/2026.
• Required Qualifications: Illinois Licensure, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification, Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS).
• Preferred Qualifications: Electronic Critical Response Nurse (ECRN), experience with Epic electronic health record system, minimal time off in July due to Epic updates, no time off in August for system go-live.
• Additional Information: The facility is geographically arranged to support staff with all team members (nurses, patient care technicians, physicians) working collaboratively in close proximity. On-call and holiday requirements are as needed, with float rotation not specified. Orientation consists of 12 hours of training, with an additional 6 hours non-billable.
