Are you ready to go beyond?We have an immediate need for a Coatings Processor C 3rd Shift (onsite).What You Will Do:Plan and perform pre and post coating operations on production, overhaul or developmental parts, and assist others responsible for operating and maintaining coating equipment.Work from verbal, written and electronically generated instructions to set up, adjust and operate a wide variety of manual and numerically controlled auxiliary equipment in support of coating operations, within assigned area.Assignments may include (but are not limited to) non-atmospheric ovens and furnaces, wet and dry media, cleaning and shot-peen equipment, where methods and processes are developed and closely controlled.Within the scope and skill level of this job description, assist others responsible for new part process tryouts, run test pieces and re-operate rejected parts, following prescribed repair instructions.Check work both visually and with gauges provided.Assist others responsible for the setup, operation, changeovers and maintenance on a variety of complex coating equipment.Perform masking and de-masking operations; assemble and remove parts into holding fixtures.Clean out coating chambers during changeovers; clean and make minor repairs to fixtures, such as removing and replacing broken bolts or details.Perform routine servicing throughout the assigned area following specified procedures and written instructions (such as operator's checklist) for upkeep to ensure equipment operates properly.Refer difficulties to leader or supervisor.May be assigned to carry out tasks, not specifically listed, within the scope and skill level of this job description in support of department objectives and to develop individuals' skills.May be required to train for, obtain and maintain licenses, operator permits and certifications within assigned area.Qualifications You Must Have:HS Diploma or equivalentSix months manufacturing/Industrial/Aerospace experience.Qualifications we prefer:In compliance with the collective bargaining agreement, priority consideration is given to candidates who are INTERNAL (and recall) to the Pratt & Whitney IAM Bargaining Unit members of District Lodge 26 and Affiliated Locals 700 and 1746 (Connecticut Operations).Bachelor's degree in engineering or graduation from certified programMinimum 2 years coating experience.Minimum 2 years' trades experience.
