Job Summary Basilio validates offers with data before a dollar is spent, screening markets, products, and demand so clients launch into winnable positions. As a Competitive Intelligence Analyst at Basilio Inc, you reverse-engineer competitors so clients know exactly where the gap is. You sit inside the Research & Validation team, own your results, and are measured on what you move, not hours logged. Basilio Inc is a growth and marketing company that builds and runs brands across Amazon, Walmart, TikTok Shop, and the open web. We hire operators, train them on proven systems, and give them real accounts to run. This is a remote-first, outcome-owned role for someone who wants to do the best work of their career on brands that are actually scaling. What You Will Own Break down competitor listings, ads, funnels, and pricing into an exploitable gap map Estimate competitor traffic, spend, and true cost of acquisition Track category shifts and surface the moves clients should make first Package findings into a clear angle the strategy and creative teams can run with Keep research methods and data sources current as markets and platforms shift Document findings in clear briefs the strategy and delivery teams can act on fast Pressure-test your own assumptions and show the math behind every call A Typical Week Move your core metrics: depth and usefulness of gap maps and speed from request to intel brief Hands-on execution in Ahrefs, Semrush, Helium 10 Sync with the strategy, creative, and marketplace teams and report progress What Success Looks Like First 30 to 60 days: you are fully ramped on your accounts and tools and already moving depth and usefulness of gap maps Ongoing: you consistently hit target on depth and usefulness of gap maps and speed from request to intel brief You leave every account, campaign, or project measurably better than you found it Competencies Investigative mindset Ability to translate data into positioning AI fluency: strong prompting and sound judgment on when to trust or override a model (required) Ownership: you run your lane end to end and are measured on the outcome Clear, direct written and verbal communication Comfort working in a fast, data-driven, remote-first team Discipline with process, deadlines, and documentation Coachability: you take feedback and turn it into better work fast Education Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Data, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Work Experience 3 to 5 years in competitive analysis, market research, growth, or a related analytical role. You report to your department lead and partner directly with account teams and, where the role calls for it, clients. Working With AI (Required) AI experience is required for this role. You are fluent with ChatGPT (OpenAI) and Claude (Anthropic), comfortable running models through OpenRouter and open models such as Qwen, and you write clear, effective prompts. Most of the work at Basilio Inc is AI-augmented, so you use AI to work faster and sharper every day while owning the judgment, accuracy, and final result yourself. Use AI to accelerate research and validation: pulling and cleaning data, summarizing competitor and market signals, and drafting first-pass models. You are expected to verify every AI output against primary sources and own the final call yourself. This role also works with the advanced stack: routing between models through OpenRouter, including Aux Alpha (an OpenRouter-routed model) and Qwen, choosing the right model for each task, and orchestrating multi‑step, AI‑assisted and agentic workflows. You understand the purpose and tradeoffs of each model and can build and supervise AI systems, not just single prompts.
