We are searching for an experienced Pet Groomer to join the team at our successful grooming business. As a Pet Groomer, you will bathe and clip dogs according to breed-specific standards and owner preferences. You will also trim nails, clean ears, detangle hair and generally ensure that pets look and feel their best. If you are reliable, compassionate, and have a love for pets, we want to hear from you! Responsibilities
- Cruising in our fully equipped grooming van to pamper pets at their doorstep
- Brush and detangle or remove matted fur
- Bathe dogs and dry coat
- Execute a variety of clipping techniques and style requests
- Examine for parasites or other skin conditions
- Trim nails
- Ensure the safety of dogs at all times
- Keeping the van sparkling clean and stocked for grooming greatness
- Adhere to strict sanitary and cleaning procedures
- Communicate effectively and compassionately with pet owners
- Experience as a pet groomer with a knack for mobile grooming (van experience a plus!)
- A love for driving, a clean driving record, and a knack for navigating route
- Self-motivated with excellent time management skills to rock your grooming schedule
- Previous experience as a dog grooming technician or similar role
- Comfortable working with anxious animals
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift large dogs over 60 pounds
- Willingness to learn new techniques and participate in continuing education
- Able to communicate effectively with coworkers and dog owners
- Strong attention to detail
