5 X Forklift / Machine Operators - Carole Park - $36 P/hr + Super (Day Shift)

Overview

Fuse Recruitment are currently seeking experienced Counter Balance Forklift operators with industrial machine operating experience for our client who is a national leader in manufacturing building products. Located in Carole Park with free onsite parking available. This role is temporary to permanent after three months.

The Client

A national brand specialising in the cement and timber building industries, located in Carole Park.

The Role

You will be working across multiple areas of the business, including forklift loading and unloading of trucks, industrial machine operating, production, and manual handling duties.

Duties

• Forklift operation: Operating standard counter balance as well as 8 Tonne forklifts
• Loading and unloading Rigids, B-Doubles and Semis
• Loading oversized pallets up to 6 meters long
• Transfer products from rework area to strapping area
• Transfer products to/from outside storage area

Machine Operation

• Monitoring the flow of products into machines, and adjusting valves and controls to specifications
• Operating concrete mixing, stacking and splitting machines
• Setting up and installing moulds and other machine fixtures
• Collecting and examining samples for conformity to specifications and adjusting machine settings accordingly
• Setting grinding and cutting edges
• Ensure product quality is in accordance with relevant specification

Manual Handling Duties

• Organize and oversee the export of goods, ensuring compliance with shipping regulations and delivery schedules
• Manually moving sheets of product from production lines to pallets
• Monitor stock levels, coordinate with warehouse teams, and track shipments to ensure smooth operations and prevent delays
• Shrink wrapping pallets
• Palletising of goods
• Packing of goods

This is a loud, dusty and at times dirty setting to work in.

Requirements

• Current valid LF Forklift license
• Experience loading and unloading trucks (Rigids, B-Doubles and Semis)
• Experience in oversized pallets and working with ugly freight
• Industrial manufacturing machinery operating experience
• Pick packing, palletising stock
• Shrink wrapping (Both manual and machine operated)
• Experience working with oversized stock such as timber and wood products
• 8 tonne forklift operating experience is advantageous
• Excellent attention to detail
• Previous experience in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent WHS knowledge
• An ability to commit to the role in an ongoing capacity
