By giving these materials a second life, CCL encourages creativity, innovation, and environmental responsibility.In 2024, our client diverted more than 8,200 pounds of material from local landfills while providing creativity-enhancing workshops to over 30,000 students. The Depot Coordinator plays a key role in this work by managing donated materials, maintaining an organized and welcoming Depot, and supporting day-to-day operations.Role Overview:The Depot Coordinator supports daily Depot operations and serves as the primary point of contact for visitors. This role balances materials management (60%) and administrative support (40%), including inventory control, material tracking, donation intake and processing, membership management, volunteer support, and general operational coordination. As part of Child Creativity Lab's fast-paced, mission-driven environment, the Depot Coordinator must be highly organized, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities while providing excellent customer service and helping maintain an efficient, welcoming Depot.Core Responsibilities:Customer Service & AdministrationGreet visitors and provide front desk coverageAnswer and direct phone callsSchedule and facilitate membership appointmentsPerform computer-based work – maintain membership tracker and material donation trackerCommunicate regularly with Operations Team membersMaterials ManagementOrganize material shelves in Depot lobbyProcess material donations from individuals, including accepting, weighing, sorting, and storing materialsOrganize, inventory, and track materials throughout the warehouseCoordinate material collection drives with community and corporate partnersCollaborate with the Education Manager to review and update kit material lists based on current inventory levelsPhysical Responsibilities This position requires regular physical activity, including:Frequently lifting, carrying, and moving items weighing 11-25 lbs.Occasionally lifting, carrying, and moving items weighing up to 50 lbs.Moving heavy boxes and storage totesStanding, bending, stooping, and reaching for extended periodsWorking in a warehouse environment that is not air-conditionedTransporting boxes and totes of materials up and down stairsUsing a step ladder to access materials stored on upper shelvesVolunteer SupportPlan volunteer tasks for both in-Depot and take-home workSupport the Volunteer Coordinator with:Setting up kit assembly lineVolunteer events and activitiesFacility SupportReplace air purifier and coffee filters as neededRefill kitchenette water bottles as neededAdditional Requirements:Assist Operations Coordinator with:Transporting materials to and from off-site storage in OrangePacking program kits and supporting year-end inventory processesPicking up donated materials from corporate partners when neededPerform administrative tasks as directed by the Leadership TeamAssist with off-site corporate volunteer and other special events as neededPerform other duties as assignedQualifications:Valid driver's license and proof of automobile insurance REQUIREDReliable means of transportation REQUIREDPreferred Qualifications:Experience working in a nonprofit environment and/or coordinating volunteer events, community initiatives, or similar programs.Some experience with Microsoft ExcelKey Success Attributes:Highly organized with exceptional attention to detailStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt quicklyExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProfessional and relationship-oriented when interacting with donors, members, volunteers, and community partnersDependable with a strong attendance recordThrives in a fast-paced environmentPassion for sustainability, creative reuse, education, and community engagementAbility to work independently and as part of a collaborative teamCompensation:The projected hourly range is estimated at $25.00 per hour.Equal Opportunity EmployerTalent Xpanse and our clients is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to providing a workplace that is inclusive and free of discrimination and harassment.
