Bilingual Travel Research Coordinator

The Research Coordinator I – Outreach Specialist will be part of the Patient Engagement Team, focusing on enrolling and retaining participants in the All of Us research program through outreach and engagement activities. Responsibilities Utilize effective outreach, engagement, and recruitment methods to drive enrollment and retention rates. Print, distribute, and manage outreach and recruitment postcards and mailers, and process responses. Identify, engage, and screen patients for eligibility and enroll them in the All of Us research program and ancillary studies. Provide participants with thorough program overviews and answer all questions. Use the Teach Back Method to assess participants’ understanding of the program. Employ motivational interviewing to build rapport with prospective and current participants. Obtain informed consent for IRB‑approved protocols. Administer surveys, record data, and use data to assess the effectiveness of outreach strategies. Perform basic biometrics (waist circumference, weight, height, heart rate, and blood pressure). Assist participants with biospecimen collection and processing. Schedule appointments for participants to complete enrollment and retention activities. Conduct phone and in‑person outreach daily, and occasional outreach through email or mail. Raise awareness among patients and the community via community events, waiting‑room outreach, educational sessions, and distribution of customized marketing products. Qualifications Associate’s degree or related healthcare certification (e.g., phlebotomy) or 3+ years of relevant work experience. Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and prioritization skills. Attention to detail and strong documentation practices. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet applications. Familiarity with public health research concepts and participatory research. Ability to adapt to change and engage diverse populations. Knowledge of patient relationship management and community engagement is a plus. Personable, outgoing personality and willingness to travel throughout Connecticut. Current driver’s license. Preferred Skills Spanish/English bilingualism (oral and written). Phlebotomy training. Human Subject Protection Training. Physical Requirements Frequent independent travel to health center satellites and community recruitment events. Clear verbal communication in public spaces. Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer. Capacity to carry a laptop and recruitment materials. Work Schedule Full‑time; occasional mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed.
