Role Description:

Sloane Strategy is seeking a Sales & Business Development Intern for Spring 2027. This role is ideal for a student interested in client acquisition strategy, company growth, sales, and learning how new prospects are sourced and secured. This intern's primary focus will be prospecting and outreach to help grow the agency's client base. You will assist with identifying potential clients, building lead lists, and initiating conversations across multiple channels. You'll work directly with the founder and gain firsthand exposure to how a boutique agency generates and closes business.

Estimated commitment: 10-20 hours per week, flexible schedule

Format: Remote (Washington, DC or surrounding areas preferred but not required) 

Responsibilities:

• Research and identify potential client leads across targeted industries
• Build and maintain organized lead lists and outreach trackers
• Assist with cold outreach via email, phone, and other channels
• Support prospecting strategy and local market research
• Help prepare outreach messaging and follow-ups
• Track outreach performance and acquisition progress
• Collaborate directly with the founder on weekly sales priorities

Qualifications:

• Actively pursuing a college degree in the United States
• Interest in sales, business development, marketing, or entrepreneurship
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable initiating outreach, calling prospects, and starting conversations
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Interested in sales related marketing based products: social media mgmt, web design, etc.
• Self-starter with a proactive mindset
• Basic knowledge of Excel and Google Sheets
• Basic knowledge of greater Washington, DC area or interested in learning local market
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment xhyhwjd
