2001 E Plumb Ln Reno, NV 89502, USA Role Purpose The Ramp Supervisor will supervise the unloading and loading of luggage, freight and cargo on and off commercial aircraft. The Ramp Supervisor will also drive and operate small specialized commercial vehicles. This position requires heavy lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, and stretching. What you will be doing Supervise lead agents; allocating ramp agent resources as needed Move cargo and baggage on and off aircraft and transport it between aircraft, airport terminals, air cargo facilities, and other aircraft Ensure that ramp personnel adhere to established company safety regulations Act as a mentor to other employees and provide training to new employees Interview, hire, and train employees; appraise performance; reward and discipline employees; address complaints and resolve problems as needed for violations of company policy Complete shift reports and sign timecards Assist in the preparation of performance evaluation forms Prepare disciplinary incident and/or termination reports Assist in the baggage handling area Conduct shift briefings to ensure staff is organized and informed Read and interpret aircraft weight and balance loading instructions, hazardous material identification labels, aircraft loading manifests, and baggage and cargo routing tags Operate motorized equipment Safety, Security, Wellbeing and Compliance You will have a responsibility and duty whilst at work to take reasonable care of the health, safety and wellbeing of yourself and others in accordance with provided information, training, and workplace health and safety rules or procedures.
