Surgical Services - Sterile Processing Tech (SPT)

• Location: Grant Hospital • Position: Sterile Processing Technician - Certified • Shift: 5x8's Nights (Mon-Fri 11p - 7:30a); must take on-call in a rotation. 1-24hr call (Sat 7a-Sun7a, Sun 7a-Mon 7a) • Minimum Requirements (4039): • 2 years of experience • High School Diploma or GED • CRCST through HSPA or CBSPD certified • Proficient in decontamination & assembly Sterile Processing Technician-Certified are multi-skilled personnel who are responsible for all duties related to the decontamination, cleaning, and sterilization of general and specialty surgical instruments, power equipment and endoscopes. They are responsible for the preparation and packaging of instrumentation, quality control testing and monitoring of sterilization equipment, maintaining records and preparation of surgical cases. Assigned duties may also include stocking, cleaning, answering phones, transporting supplies, training peers on industry best practices and providing direct customer service to both operating rooms and external customers. SPD equipment is Impress Connect. Candidates must be able to independently function in assigned areas of: Decontamination, Assembly, Sterilization, and Case Carts. This will be a fast paced environment. Candidates will need to be customer service driven (internal and external), productive, and self motivated.
