Role Purpose

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Payroll & HR Clerk to manage our end-to-end payroll processing and support day-to-day human resources functions. Because we operate as a mid-size organization, this hybrid role will also directly support our team by handling foundational accounting responsibilities . The ideal candidate brings dedicated payroll experience and is looking for a stable, full-time role with scheduling flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll & Benefits Administration

• Execute full-cycle payroll for all company employees accurately and on time.
• Collect, verify, and reconcile employee timesheets, tracking exceptions like overtime or unpaid leave.
• Calculate and manage tax withholdings, benefit deductions, 401(k) contributions, and garnishments.
• Address employee inquiries regarding paychecks, timesheets, and tax forms with high professionalism and discretion.

Human Resources Support

• Maintain confidential personnel records , ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations.
• Assist with onboarding by processing new hire paperwork, entering employee data into HR systems, and setting up payroll accounts.
• Coordinate leave tracking , including PTO, sick time, and basic benefits tracking.

Accounting Responsibilities

Assist with accounts payable/receivable tasks or basic monthly financial reporting as requested by management.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Prior payroll processing experience is strictly required (typically 1–3 years).
• Skills: Strong numerical competency, high data-entry accuracy, and excellent organizational skills.
• Confidentiality: Proven ability to handle highly sensitive, private financial and personnel records securely.
• Software: Familiarity with standard payroll software and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
