Your main responsibilities

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Strategic Analyst- Mergers and Acquisitions is a key member of Schindler Elevator Corporation 
(SEC) M&A team participating in all acquisition activities (pre-close and post-merger). This role will 
evaluate potential company acquisitions, mergers, and strategic investments. The Analyst's primary role 
is to assess whether a transaction creates value and supports business growth objectives. The highly 
motivated individual in this role will have significant visibility to executive management and global 
leaders. The Analyst will play an integral role in due diligence as well as the smooth transition of newly 
acquired companies into SEC’s M&A Integration team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Lead assigned aspects of the transaction process, including valuation, due diligence, and through to deal completion. 
• Conduct valuation and financial analyses, including discounted cash flow, merger consequences and investment returns for potential transactions.
• Synthesize and summarize due diligence findings with focus on identifying key risks.
• Draft tailored reports outlining key transaction insights based on the diligence analyses. Create and deliver presentations to key stakeholders.
• Assist in the development of transactional and integration plans required to evaluate and complete transactions. 
• Organize and coordinate cross functional deal teams. 
• Build partnerships with business unit and regional representatives to develop and understand strategic priorities. 
• Design and conduct strategic, market, competitive and financial analyses of business development opportunities, including potential acquisitions, divestitures, alliances and strategic investments.
• Maintain and expand acquisition pipeline and database of prospects.

What you bring

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSES

Education
• BA in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field
• MBA preferred
Experience
• 3-5 years of Merger & Acquisition experience
• Elevator experience preferred
• Industrial space experience preferred
