ACCOUNTING & INVENTORY ASSISTANT

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. | Work Setting: Full-time, in person | Reports To: Accounting Manager

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Accounting & Inventory Assistant to work closely with the Accounting Manager. This position supports physical inventory activities, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.

Process vendor invoices and maintain accurate accounts payable records.

Prepare customer invoices, post payments, and assist with collections.

Support payroll processing, including reviewing time records and maintaining documentation.

Reconcile accounting and inventory records and prepare reports and spreadsheets.

Maintain organized financial, payroll, and inventory files.

Communicate professionally with employees, customers, and vendors.

Assist with month-end activities and other accounting duties as assigned.

Protect confidential employee and financial information.

Qualifications

Associate degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field required; bachelor's degree preferred.

Previous accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, or inventory experience preferred.

Basic knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and standard office software; accounting or inventory-management software experience is a plus.

Strong attention to detail, organization, time management, communication, and teamwork skills.

Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.

Physical Requirements

Ability to participate in physical inventory counts, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting, with or without reasonable accommodation.
