Position: House Supervisor

Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:00)

Job Description

We are seeking experienced House Supervisors to manage nursing operations and ensure the quality of patient care in a hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in charge nurse roles with strong leadership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee nursing staff and patient care operations.
• Coordinate and manage patient flow and staffing levels across various units.
• Provide leadership and support to nursing staff to ensure compliance with policies and protocols.
• Facilitate communication between departments and address any issues that arise promptly.
• Participate in the training and development of nursing staff.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in a supervisory or charge nurse role preferred.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• PALS certification is also required; candidates may obtain it onsite if not currently certified.
• Experience with community hospital settings is desirable.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Unit Details

• Potential interaction with various patient age groups.
• Daily census and the number of patient beds and rooms will vary.
• Must be flexible to float to other units as needed based on skill set.

Additional Information

Housing options may be limited in the area; candidates should be open to commuting. Orientation includes an 8-hour HealthStream module completed during the initial orientation process.

All compliance documentation is due prior to the start date, and scheduled orientation sessions occur every Monday.

Applicants should be aware that random drug screenings are a common practice, and those with a gap of more than 30 days between assignments may be required to undergo a new drug screening and background check.
