Real Estate Professional Liability Underwriter

Job Overview We are seeking a talented individual to join our team at Victor. This role will be based in Bethesda, Maryland. It is a hybrid position requiring at least three days per week in the office. Responsibilities Profitably manage an existing portfolio of renewal business and underwrite new opportunities daily. Evaluate client exposure to loss based on established program eligibility. Use the underwriting platform to generate pricing and communicate terms to Victor brokers. Negotiate final terms and position the Victor value proposition to brokers. Collaborate with carrier partners to develop bespoke coverages and determine pricing for complex risks. Work with both in‑house and outsourced support teams to service the portfolio. Attend industry trade shows and travel to meet broker partners (2–3 trips annually). Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of underwriting experience or equivalent transferable experience. Strong analytical aptitude and critical thinking demonstrated through past work. Valid P&C license required, or ability to obtain one within 90 days of hire. Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat. The base pay will be determined by experience, skills, education, and location. In addition to base salary, this position may be eligible for performance‑based incentives.
