OTR Dry van Company driver (W-2) Job in Chicago, IL by HMD Trucking

Requirements

• 1 year of CDL-A OTR experience
• No DUI/DWI in the last 5 years
• No more than 3 moving violations or 3 preventable accidents
• No excessive speeding (over 21 mph) in the last 3 years
• Must be above 23 years old at the time of applying

Vacancy description

Run nationwide dry-van lanes while operating out of Chicago, IL for a driver-first carrier. HMD provides strong mileage pay starting at 65 CPM, weekly averages near 2,500 miles, plus bonuses for safe driving, clean inspections and referrals.

Responsibilities:

• Operate late-model dry-van tractors (under 3 years) equipped with sleepers, APUs and inverters.
• Complete OTR routes, maintain accurate logs, and deliver freight on schedule while meeting DOT and company safety standards.
• Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and coordinate repairs with reliable in-house maintenance.

Requirements:

• Valid CDL-A and at least 12 months verifiable driving experience.
• Professional conduct, safety focus, and a clean driving history.
