Operating Room Registered Nurse

This position requires experience in all areas of the Operating Room. Cross-training to Endoscopy will occur. The facility has 11 total rooms, including 8 Operating Room suites and 3 Endoscopy suites. The department handles approximately 25 cases per day out of about 65 cases seen. Familiarity with Baxter pumps, Phillips robots, and Dynomap is preferred. All types of surgical cases are seen excluding open-heart procedures. Vascular cases are included except for open hearts, as well as General, Ortho, Neuro, Eye, and ENT cases. Experience with the DaVinci Robot is a significant advantage. Staff must have ACLS certification due to modern sedation requirements. On-call duty includes one weeknight call every four weeks from 7 PM to 7 AM. Weekend on-call shifts occur on either a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday for up to 24 hours every three months. The charting system used is EPIC. This position focuses on acute care in a Trauma Level 2 environment.
