Licensed Practical Nurse - Med/Surg

Overview Lake Huron Medical Center is a 139‑bed community hospital that provides a wide range of inpatient and outpatient health care services to residents of St. Clair and Sanilac counties. Services include emergency care, a primary stroke center, cancer care, surgical services, physical therapy and rehabilitation, pulmonary rehabilitation, and specialized diabetes programs. Responsibilities The Licensed Vocational Nurse/Licensed Psychiatric Technician provides direct and indirect patient care services that meet psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care, supports communication with patients and families, and performs under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. The role requires knowledge of EMTALA regulations and triage processes in the ER setting. Qualifications Current and valid state license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse. Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain one. Minimum one year experience in an applicable setting preferred. IV certification upon hire; Blood Withdrawal (BW) certification preferred.
