Medical Assistant (MA)- Primary Care

Job Summary

Our client is seeking a diligent and compassionate Medical Assistant to join their healthcare team. The primary focus of this role is to ensure efficient clinical operations by providing excellent patient care and supporting physicians in delivering quality health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Room patients, capture vital signs, and document histories, allergies, and the primary reason for visits.
• Assist in clinical examinations and medical procedures while maintaining communication with physicians.
• Conduct waived lab tests and manage the collection and preparation of laboratory specimens.
• Audit ordered tests and ensure timely receipt and follow-up of results.
• Adhere to nursing protocols and infection prevention guidelines to ensure patient safety.
• Monitor physician schedules and organize patient flow to minimize wait times.
• Serve as the primary contact for daily clinical operations and escalate issues as necessary.
• Lead front-line staff in daily operations, guiding and delegating tasks as needed.
• Conduct training sessions, review patient care protocols, and ensure compliance with standards.
• Monitor nursing supplies and equipment, reporting maintenance needs to leadership.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Medical Assistant Certification (or Medical Assistant Diploma with Urology experience).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Experience

• 1+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant.

Skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
