Master HVAC Technician

Job Description A top employer in the government facilities and mission‑critical infrastructure industry is looking for a Master HVAC Technician to join their team. This role is responsible for maintaining reliable, compliant, and secure HVAC/R systems that support sensitive federal operations. The technician will play a critical role in ensuring proper climate control, equipment uptime, and overall facility readiness within a secure, high‑visibility environment. Day to Day Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining HVAC/R systems including air handlers, split systems, rooftop units, chillers, and CRAC units Performing preventive maintenance in accordance with OEM guidelines and contract requirements Diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical issues using gauges, meters, and multimeters Recovering, evacuating, and recharging refrigerant systems in compliance with EPA Section 608 Monitoring and responding to alarms through BAS/DDC systems Documenting service activities, parts usage, and work orders in a CMMS Supporting HVAC equipment installation, commissioning, and control upgrades Collaborating with onsite staff to resolve system performance issues Adhering to OSHA, NEC, EPA, and mechanical code standards Performing limited general facility maintenance tasks as needed (non‑HVAC related) Qualifications We are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer that believes everyone matters. Skills and Requirements At least 5 years of recent experience maintaining or repairing commercial (sizeable/facility scale equipment) or industrial HVAC/R systems Active TS/SCI clearance and government suitability screening Universal EPA 608 certification Master HVAC license in DC, Virginia, or Maryland (Master preferred) Experience servicing Computer Room Air Conditioning (CRAC) units preferred HVAC trade certification or technical school completion preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr
