Job Overview A law firm seeks an experienced Trusts and Estates Attorney/Partner with a portable book of business to join their practice in Sterling Heights, MI. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in estate planning, tax law, probate law, and trust law, and will be adept at managing complex legal and financial situations. Duties Develop comprehensive estate plans tailored to clients' specific needs and goals. Advise clients on tax implications and strategies to minimize tax liabilities. Handle the probate process, including court proceedings and asset distribution. Manage and administer trusts in compliance with applicable laws. Identify and pursue business development opportunities. Requirements Strong foundation in estate planning, tax law, probate law, and trust law. Experience with high net worth families and complex estate planning. Proficiency in succession planning, fiduciary accounting, and tax preparation. Excellent communication and analytical skills. Precision in drafting legal documents and discretion in handling sensitive information. Education Juris Doctor from an ABA accredited law school. Certifications Licensed and in good standing to practice law in the state of Michigan. Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills.
