Job description
These preferences are extensive and candidates will be reviewed based on their level of experience.

The role of Mechanical Equipment / Piping Engineer is to support the Engineering Lead and Product Engineering Manager. They will be accountable for the mechanical and piping scope and systems in large scale data centers across the design, construction, assembly, testing, installation, and commissioning phases. The Mechanical / Piping Engineer will be responsible for checking and approving drawings / designs; interface communication, and ensuring the accuracy, reliability, efficiency, and safety of the overall mechanical scope of work for Hyperscale Data Center Modules meets customer's requirements and Industrial Standards.
The Mechanical Equipment / Piping Engineer will play a critical role with supporting the plant during the manufacturing stage. They will also be assisting various stakeholders in troubleshooting site installation and commissioning problems.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.
• Other Degrees will be considered (Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics, etc.) but will require increase relevant data center expertise.
• EIT or PE always a plus

Experience:

• 2-10 years' experience in engineering in an EPC environment
• Ability to produce drawings/sketches to illustrate design/ideas.
• General knowledge and direct experience with the construction, operation, and maintenance of data centers and components.
• Strong Knowledge in piping and fire suppression system design and construction
• Knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations, including but not limited to:

o AISI - American Iron and Steel institute
o ANSI - American National Standards Institute
o ASME - American Society of Mechanical Engineers (specifically B&PV Section VIII, IX, B31.3)
o ASTM - American Society of Testing and Material
AWS - American Welding Society
o IBC - International Building Code
o MFMA - Metal Framing Manufactures Association
o MSS - Manufactures Standardization Society (Valves and Fittings Industry)
o OSHA - Occupational Safety and Health Administration
o NACE - National Association of Corrosion Engineers
o NFPA - National Fire Protection Association
o PFI - Pipe Fabrication Institute

• Experience working with computer-aided design (CAD) and building information modeling (BIM) software.
• Fast track design/build projects and or multiple significant upgrade projects
• Direct experience in negotiating with regulatory agencies regarding departures from code and ultimately achieving design approval and permitting

Language : Fluency, both written and verbal, in English.
