Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Senior Lease Accounting Analyst to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $100,000 to $110,000 per year.
Job Responsibilities:
- Review and process common area maintenance charges to ensure accuracy and compliance with lease terms.
- Prepare and manage common area maintenance accruals, analysis, and annual budgets.
- Reconcile tenant and landlord ledgers and assist with resolving billing questions or disputes.
- Analyze lease related expense activity and maintain clear supporting documentation.
- Partner with internal teams to support reporting needs and improve lease accounting processes.
- A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, real estate, or a related field.
- Previous experience with lease accounting, expense recoveries, or property related financial tracking.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to reconcile detailed ledgers.
- Proficiency with accounting systems and Excel for tracking and analysis.
- Ability to manage deadlines and maintain accuracy in a fast paced environment.
- A strong understanding of common area maintenance concepts and recovery mechanisms.
- Detail focused work style with the ability to investigate and resolve variances.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills when working with internal partners.
- Organized approach to managing multiple properties or leases at once.
- Proactive mindset with interest in improving processes and controls.
