Senior Data Center Engineer

A leading global technology-driven organisation is seeking an experienced Data Centre Infrastructure Engineer to support the design, deployment, and operation of mission‑critical data centre environments. This hands‑on technical role combines infrastructure engineering with data centre operations, focusing on high‑density compute platforms, advanced cooling technologies, and hardware lifecycle management. Key Responsibilities Design and implement high-density data centre infrastructure, ensuring successful delivery from planning through deployment. Manage data centre capacity, including power, cooling, and rack utilisation, to support current and future growth. Coordinate with third‑party vendors during infrastructure installations, ensuring compliance with engineering and operational standards. Develop operational documentation, testing procedures, and deployment runbooks for new infrastructure. Assess and introduce emerging cooling and infrastructure technologies through lab validation and production testing. Maintain accurate infrastructure inventory, monitoring, and asset management records. Provide advanced technical support for server hardware, infrastructure platforms, and cooling‑related issues. Skills & Experience 5+ years' experience in data centre engineering, critical facilities, or infrastructure operations. Strong knowledge of high‑density computing environments and liquid cooling technologies. Experience managing power, cooling, and capacity planning within enterprise data centres. Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical drawings and work alongside engineering and facilities teams. Solid server hardware troubleshooting skills, including firmware management and Linux administration.
