A leading clinical research organization in New Haven, CT is seeking a Bioanalyst I for a 12-month onsite opportunity. Supporting a Phase I biomarker unit, this entry-level role offers hands-on experience in specimen handling, quality control, and laboratory management within a regulated environment.

responsibilities:

• Process human biological specimens and manage bioanalytical sample handling.
• Perform bench-level laboratory tasks including precise pipetting and sterile technique maintenance.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, manage inventory, and order essential scientific supplies.
• Conduct quality control reviews on laboratory data, maintaining strict audit trails and documentation.
• Support general laboratory operations and administrative workflows.

 
qualifications:
Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Immunology, or a related scientific discipline.
• Proven foundation in basic laboratory skills, including accurate pipetting and safe specimen handling.
• Understanding of sterile techniques and general laboratory safety protocols.
• Strong organizational skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams).
• Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to learn electronic laboratory notebooks and software systems.

Preferred:

• 1 to 3 years of hands-on laboratory experience.
• Interest in building a long-term career in laboratory analysis.
• Flexibility to support occasional weekend shifts during large clinical study periods.
