About the Position

Job Title: Electrophysiology Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Electrophysiology Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 5x8-Hour Hours per Shift: 07:30 - 16:00 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: NC or Compact license pending OK for submittal Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, ARRT or RCIS Must-Have: - IR Experience - 90% is IR - Skills: Scrub, Circulate, Telemetry Description: This position involves working as an Electrophysiology Tech in a combination lab setting, focusing primarily on interventional radiology and cardiology procedures. The tech will assist the provider while performing diagnostic and interventional procedures. Responsibilities include scrubbing and circulating during IR/Cath Lab procedures and cardiology procedures. Medication administration is performed by registered nurses only. Expect urgent and emergent cardiology and interventional radiology procedures. The call requirement includes a minimum of 7 call days per month, typically scheduled as two call days per week, along with one weekend call per month. Callback time is 30 minutes for STEMIs. Candidates will not be required to float to other units. Weekend work is required every third weekend. The patient population includes adults and geriatrics. Patients commonly present with diagnoses related to device implants such as PPM and ICD. Special procedures involve both diagnostic and interventional techniques. Candidates should be familiar with specialized equipment used in interventional radiology and cardiology. Specific skills preferred include EKG lead placement and advanced certifications related to radiology and electrophysiology. No holiday time off is permitted for this role. RTO requests should be pre-approved, and additional time off is not accommodated after signing. Candidates must be ready to start in the lab within 48 hours after signing. All required pre-start modules must be completed promptly prior to the start date.
