Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated professional to evaluate, select, perform, and/or direct assistance in educational, vocational, and recreational activities aimed at restoring maximum function to physically and/or mentally disabled patients, as referred by a physician. The role involves collaborating with family members and the healthcare team regarding the patient's abilities and goals.

Responsibilities

Evaluate patient needs and design appropriate therapy programs.
Select and implement education, vocational, and recreational activities to support patient rehabilitation.
Collaborate effectively with family members and team members to discuss patient goals and progress.
Document patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
Provide guidance and support to team members within the healthcare setting.

Education and Experience

Bachelor of Science or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution recognized by the American Occupational Therapy Association.
Eligibility for licensure or current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the State of Oregon.
Current valid driver's license in Oregon required.
Current CPR certification required.

Knowledge and Skills

Comprehensive knowledge of occupational therapy methods related to physical disabilities and rehabilitation processes.
Understanding of general medicine, surgical, and mental health concepts.
Able to apply principles of teamwork, recognizing the strengths and limitations of team members.
Possess a positive attitude and effective communication skills.
Demonstrate strong teamwork abilities, including interaction, support, and respect for colleagues.

Position based in Oregon.
