Travel RN - Med/Surg - Skilled Nursing

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) position in a long-term care (LTC) setting with a minimum of 2 years of experience and an Illinois RN license required. Requirements Active IL RN license required; candidates with a pending IL license may be considered with documentation Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and IV Certification (must be obtained prior to start) Minimum 2 years of RN experience required Strong Med/Surg and acute care experience is helpful but not required Dementia care training or experience is highly recommended Epic EMR experience required Excellent customer service skills are essential Responsibilities Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation units within a long-term care (LTC) facility, functioning similarly to a Med/Surg environment Patient population includes residents requiring specialized medical and rehabilitation care, including those with dementia and post-surgical needs Patient ratio: up to 20 residents with an average daily census of 72 Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM Every other weekend required upon request of the center No on-call requirements Epic EMR experience required Lifting equipment used on the unit Responsibility includes administering IV medications, wound care, and providing primary and rehabilitative nursing care to residents Works closely with CNAs and HCAs as part of the care team Scrub color requirement: any shade of blue Free parking is available on-site Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted Candidates living within 75 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position RTO must be requested at the time of submission; RTO will not be approved after an offer is extended, and no RTO will be approved for the first week of orientation No more than 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract Travelers cannot take every holiday off; holiday coverage is expected Travelers may remain for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required before returning Former permanent employees of this health system must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler First-time travelers are welcome to apply Call-outs must be communicated with more than 24 hours of advance notice Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts #J-18808-Ljbffr American Traveler
